Registration

ICIDS 2021 will take place in a hybrid format, both online and in Tallinn, Estonia, from 7-10 December 2021. It is possible to attend the conference either on-site or remotely. The programme, proceedings, networking and all conference activities will be available to registered participants only. The conference time zone is EET (Eastern Europe Time zone).

Conference registration (except for one-day) includes the workshops. Please see the workshop page for information on how to sign up for individual workshops.

Please note that authors (including workshop organisers) need to register by October 22. Contributions without at least one registered author will be removed from the conference proceedings.

Cancellation policy

The following cancellation policy applies for ICIDS 2021:

  • Author registration cancellations requests received in writing before October 22 will be fully refunded, less 10% which will be deducted for administrative expenses.
  • Non-author registration cancellations requests received in writing by November 30 will be fully refunded, less 10% which will be deducted for administrative expenses.
  • No registration cancellations requests will be processed after November 30.
  • Registration cancellations requests should be sent by email to conference@tlu.ee
  • Any requests to change from on-site to remote participation, or vice-versa, will be honoured until November 20. Please contact conference@tlu.ee
  • We will not be able to issue any refunds due to changes of circumstances related with the ongoing global pandemic after November 30th

Data privacy

ICIDS 2021 is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Tallinn University Conference Centre is responsible for the management, storage and deletion of personal data related to ICIDS 2021. The principles of data management are described below.

  1. The name and affiliation of keynote speakers, workshop organizers, and ICIDS 2021 Organising Committee are shown publicly on the conference webpage.
  2. The name, affiliation and country of all participants is shown to all participants during the conference. This data is used for conference management and networking.
  3. The name, affiliation, country and e-mail address of all participants, and the title of the presentation and the session of all presenters is used for communication purposes of the current and forthcoming ICIDS events. Tallinn University Conference Centre hands this information over to ARDIN, that stores this data until Dec 31st 2031.
  4. Data about actual participation is used for management purposes of the current conference. This data is stored by Tallinn University Conference Centre and accessed by the members of the ICIDS 2021 Organising Committee and will be deleted latest by Dec 31st 2021.
  5. The phone number of all participants is used in exceptional circumstances for management purposes of the current conference by Tallinn University Conference Centre. This information is deleted latest by Dec 31st 2021.
  6. Details on participation fee payment are used for organising and bookkeeping purposes. Tallinn University Conference Centre will store bookkeeping data for 7 years according to the law.
  7. Credit card details are handled by FIENTA, the official partner of ARDIN for credit card payments, who is responsible for related data security and deletion.
